Here at Summit & Sea Therapy we understand the importance of connection with nature for our mental health. Our mission is to provide individuals and couples with the opportunity to grow in their connection with themselves and others, through nature experiences in Colorado and Hawaii.
We also provide individual, couples and family therapy from a systemic perspective that’s rooted in attachment theory. Therapy sessions are primarily virtual with some in-person slots available in Denver, CO. Inquire for more information regarding in-person services.
Stay tuned for couples retreats, coming soon!
Therapy Services Offered:
Individual sessions are 55 minutes. Cost is $140 a session, but there are also sliding scale spots available. Specializing in depression, anxiety, identity development, perfectionism, and OCD.
Couples therapy sessions are 55 minutes and cost $170 per session. Areas of interest include sex and intimacy, communication skills building and ethical non-monogamy. My ideal couples have a deep love for each other, but time and life commitments have left them feeling less connected. We can work together to restore emotional safety, trust and intimacy in the relationship.
I primarily work from attachment theory and inform my work with evidence-based theories such as Emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) and Gottman Method.
Meet your therapist,
Elizabeth Taylor, MFTC
I have a deep passion for helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of identity, trauma, and relationships. My clinical interests include identity exploration, PTSD, sex and intimacy, anxiety, and OCD. I bring a compassionate, grounded presence to the therapeutic space—one where clients can safely explore the parts of themselves that often go unheard or unseen. I thrive when helping people deepen their insight and reconnect with their authenticity.
My approach is rooted in attachment theory, which I believe is central to how we relate to ourselves and others. I inform my work with attachment-based theories such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT) to support clients in developing emotional insight, resilience, and secure relationships.
I have completed Level 1 Training in the Gottman Method and the EFT Couples Therapy externship. I draw from both frameworks to help couples slow down, connect, and build emotional safety. I utilize a systemic lens and non-pathologizing approach and strive to help my clients understand and break out of the negative cycles that keep them feeling stuck. I am passionate about creating spaces where partners feel seen, heard, and supported - especially in today's fast-paced society.
As a military kid, I spent much of my life living in different countries, which gave me a global perspective and a deep curiosity about people’s inner lives. I’ve always been drawn to conversations about life, death, and meaning. In addition to my clinical training, I bring years of experience in mindfulness practices as a trained yoga instructor. This foundation supports my work with presence, self-regulation, and body awareness—always with cultural sensitivity woven into the healing process.
While my work is primarily attachment-focused, I also draw on narrative therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, CBT and solution-focused strategies, depending on what best resonates with my client. My approach is collaborative, warm, and adaptive, rooted in the belief that every person has the capacity to connect more fully with themselves and others when they feel safe enough to step into their authenticity and vulnerability.
